FIRST SUITOR

Tonight we went to Clint and Michelle's wedding reception. While there we enjoyed some friends, food, and dancing. Allegra especially enjoyed the dancing (I'm sure being center stage didn't hurt either).

While she was dancing, she managed to attract the attention of a little blond boy who was probably around 4 years old. He kept following her around, patting her head, hugging her, knocking her to the floor. No matter how many times I told him to stop grabbing, and to be gentle because she was little, he didn't let up.

Tobin started putting himself between Allegra and the boy, but he was a persistent little bugger. Blane came up to Tobin and whispered, "Keep an eye on this dude that's bothering Allegra!" Leave it to Blane to call the shots, and Tobin to carry them out...

At one point, Tobin jabbed the kid in the eye (supposedly by accident), and sent him crying to his mother (who was not monitoring his annoying behavior AT ALL). I made him go apologize, but was secretly glad he made a move. Later, the boy stirred the hornet's nest by throwing rose petals in Tobin's face - I had to grab Tobin by the collar to keep him from drilling the kid...

In the car on the way home, the boys were both discussing how upset they were about the boy bothering Allegra. I'll be sleeping well, knowing my boys are on the job, as far as watching out for their baby sister is concerned.
