WHO'S THE BOSS?

Even before Allegra was stringing words together, she was communicating with her hands. And when I say 'communicating', I mean 'bossing'. Now that the words are coming easier, there is an awful lot of direction being given - not only to older brothers, but to mommy and daddy too.

TALKATIVE

It's been quite some time that Allegra has been expressing herself with about a dozen 'words' of gibberish. "Mot" meant milk, for instance. "Bots" was boys. But most everything was hand and body gestures. She just hasn't been talking.

Then suddenly in the last week or two, she's been trying to say absolutely everything that we say. Everything. It's been fun to hear her talking so much. She's still not stringing sentences together, but I'm sure that's only around the corner.
